Welcome!

Cub Scout Pack 206 provides fun activities that build character, citizenship, and fitness for boys and girls in grades K-5. Founded in 1949, we are the oldest continually active pack in Lawrence Township, NJ, and we currently have about 50 scouts and many active parent leaders.

Joining The Pack: All boys and girls in grades K-5 are welcome to join Pack 206 at any time during the year by contacting the Membership Chair using the 'Contact Us' page.

Scouts do not need to reside in Lawrence Township to join the Pack. For detailed information see attachment below.

Pack Events: Annual events include the Pinewood Derby, Great Pumpkin Hunt, overnight outdoor and indoor camping events, Blue and Gold Banquet, Raingutter Regatta, Fishing Derby and more! Pack events are usually held once a month, typically on a weekend. Pack events are family-friendly.

Den Meetings: The Cubs in a pack are divided into small groups called dens by grade level. Den meetings are usually twice per month, on a weeknight, as scheduled by the den leader, and include fun and educational activities that help the scouts advance in rank.

Fishing & Potluck Picnic June 6!

Posted on Jun 3 2026 - 9:35pm

Come Fishing with Pack 206!

June 6 from 4-6pm at Colonial Lake (Catch and Release)

New scouts will receive a new cane pole for FREE! Bait is provided for all.

Any scouts who have attended the pack fishing event before, please bring your cane pole from last time. New scouts please keep your new pole in good condition so you can bring again in the future.

We discourage casting rods as you need more space to safely cast. If you bring one, you will need to go to the right side of the lake. If you miss the deadline for a pack supplied cane pole, you can always bring your own, they are available online and a safer option for the younger scouts for this event. (If you don't know what a cane pole is, it is a long rod that does not require you to cast or throw the line, you dip the line into the water, it is safer for the young kids and for a crowded event)

All scouts and adults must wear closed toed shoes and have protective eyewear (sunglasses, glasses, or safety goggles).

Please note: Colonial lake does not have public restrooms, plan accordingly. There will be hand sanitizer available for after fishing clean-up.

Any scouts that need fishing lines retied on their cane poles, please reach out to Mr. Kevin Bullard no later than May 18, 2026 to arrange.

Celebration Potluck Picnic June 6 6:30-8pm

After fishing, join us at Veteran's Park for a potluck picnic to celebrate another great year of scouting!

The pack will supply the main course, parents should bring a side or dessert: Scouts with last names A-K bring a dessert, scouts with last names L-Z bring a side dish!

Advancements will be given at the picnic and please bring any uniform/gear you wish to hand down.

Looking for volunteers to help make this moving up celebration special. Please email fabiennecalkins@gmail.com with any ideas or to help out!
